Undermain Theatre Announces Its 40th Season
Celebrating 40 years of light underground with a landmark anniversary season, Undermain Theatre will present its 40th season of cutting edge performance in September. Our season, from the fall of 2023 to the summer of 2024, will be a season of unlimited boundaries and will find us working both with long time collaborators as well as artists and voices new to the Undermain.
Undermain Theatre Presents FEEDING ON LIGHT
Undermain Theatre welcomes you to the world premiere of Feeding on Light by Lenora Champagne. This play is based on the playwright’s personal relationship and discussions with Undermain Theatre’s late Founding Artistic Director Katherine Owens, to whom the play is dedicated.
LONESOME BLUES Postponed at Undermain Theatre
Due to schedule conflicts, Undermain Theatre’s production of Lonesome Blues, Akin Babatundé and Alan Govenar’s solo-performer meditation on the life and songs of Blind Lemon Jefferson, is now being rescheduled from June to this coming September.
Undermain Theatre Presents WITHER GOEST THOU AMERICA: A Festival of New American Play Readings
The Festival will feature readings by local playwrights, Parker Davis Gray, Erin Malone Turner, and Zander Pryor, along with Native American performance artist and activist Gregg Deal. Mr. Deal is the second recipient of The Katherine Owens/Undermain Theatre Fund for New Work and will close out the festival with his solo performance piece, The Punk Pan Indian Romantic Comedy. A selection of Mr. Deal's paintings and other work will be on display in our lobby as well.
Undermain Theatre Announces 2021/2022 Season
For their 38th season at Undermain they are creating an exciting array of diverse performance opportunities to inspire and enrich our community and support artists in North Texas. They hope to be able to offer live performances in addition to the virtual streaming videos for each production.
