At a press conference held May 31 in the lobby of the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 237 nominations for the 39th Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in the performing arts in Toronto.

Peggy Baker Dance Projects is pleased to announce Map by Years, a four-work program featuring the world premiere of a new movement and text work for Peggy Baker created with the incomparable Sarah Chase, titled unmoored. It is joined on the program by the return of three landmark Baker solos, Her Heart, Krishna's Mouth and Portal. Map by Years runs at The Theatre Centre from February 21-25, 2018.

Back from Vancouver and preparing for its departure to Rio de Janeiro with Animal Triste, MAYDAY takes over La Chapelle in December for the anticipated return of WOULD in Montreal. Created in 2013 on the initiative of the company firstthingsfirst, WOULD, by the committed choreographer M lanie Demers, was presented at Usine C in 2015 before going on tour. Nominated five times for the Dora Mavor Moore Awards, the work received the prize of Outstanding Performance Male for Marc Boivin's striking interpretation and also won the CALQ Prize for Best choreographic work of the 2014-2015 season.

October 27, 2014: knees and toes/NYs and TOs Edition 2014, presented by TOES for dance in collaboration with presenting sponsor mindyourmind*, will showcase a mixed program of contemporary dance by established and new generation choreographers from around the world, under the direction of David Norsworthy and Kristen Carcone. TOES for dance kickstarted the season on October 4th with, for the second year in a row, a sold out showing in New York City. The Ontario Touring Production begins November 8th and runs until November 16th with shows in Mississauga, Waterloo, Vaughan and Toronto, and features dance artists from New York City and Toronto.
