BIO

Originally from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Kate Booth is now a Chicago based actor, director, stage combatant, and movement and text coach who loves superheroes and ice cream!



She is a founding member of To the Point, (a traveling theatrical combat troupe), an associate producer for The Conspirators, an ensemblez member with Imaginez Ensemblez, and has been nominated for an Audioverse Award for her voice acting in the podcasts and live perforamnces of Locked Into Vacancy Entertainment.

Previous performance credits also include Oak Park Festival Theatre, Babes with Blades Theatre Co., Cave Painting Theatre, and various Renaissance Faires throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.

Recent fight choreography/ direction credits in the Chicago area:'Head Over Heels' with Kokandy Productions, wherein she also assisted Sarah Scanlon's intimacy direction, 'Below the Belt,' with HUNDO4U PRODUCTIONS, 'They Fight' with the To the Point theatre troupe, and 'By the Sword' at the Bristol Renaissance Faire. She was the Assistant Fight Director for 'The Faire Maid of the West with Oak Park Festival Theatre for their 2017 remount, and more recently for 'Women of 4G' produced by Babes with Blades Theatre Co. in 2019, after fight captianing for the previous summer's production of 'The Lady Demands Satisfaction.'

Kate holds a B.F.A. in performance with an emphasis in acting from Northern Illinois University and her favorite superheroes are Captain America and Wally West as the Flash.

Cast Announced For ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF A BLACK MOTORIST

The Conspirators are pleased to announce the full cast of the World Premiere adaptation of Accidental Death of a Black Motorist, adapted from Dario Fo by Sid Feldman and directed by Wm. Bullion, to be performed at the Athenaeum Theatre, Studio 1, 2936 N. Southport Ave. in Chicago. There will be a preview on Thursday, October 24th, and the opening is Friday October 25th. The show will run Thursdays-Saturdays at 8PM through November 23rd.
Kokandy Productions' HEAD OVER HEELS Extends Through September 8

Due to popular demand, Kokandy Productions' breakout summer hit HEAD OVER HEELS will add two additional weeks of performances, extending through September 8, 2019 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

Babes With Blades Theatre Company (BWBTC) starts its 21st Season with the world premiere of The Lady Demands Satisfaction, playing at City Lit Theater, 1020 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., July 21 - August 25.  Winner of the most recent Joining Sword and Pen Competition, and developed in 2017-18 through BWBTC's Fighting Words Program, this play is written by Arthur M. Jolly, directed by Babes With Blades Theater Company Member Morgan Manasa with combat by Violence Designer and BWBTC Member Samantha Kaufman.  Preview performances are Saturday, July 21 at 8 p.m., Sunday, July 22 at 3 p.m., Thursday, July 26 at 8 p.m. and Friday, July 27 at 8 p.m. Opening Night is Saturday, July 28 at 8 p.m. Regular performances are Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Preview tickets are $10, student and senior tickets are $15 and general admission are $25.
