Underworld Announce North American May Tour

British electronic pioneers Underworld (Rick Smith, Karl Hyde) announce a triumphant return to North America  - their first series of shows here since selling out the Hollywood Bowl 5 years ago. This tour coincides with the 40th anniversary of Smith and Hyde meeting and setting out on one of the longest lasting creative partnerships in electronic music.

Underworld have announced details of DRIFT Series 1, that concludes on November 1, 2019 with a collection of new material released as a box set/LP/CD/DL and on streaming services. The box set features 7 CDs, a Blu-ray and an eighty page full colour book. 
Underworld Premiere BORDER COUNTRY Collaboration with Ø[Phase]

One week ahead of its official release date, Underworld premiere 'Border Country' from their upcoming album Drift Songs, out October 25, 2019. 'Border Country' is the second collaboration with friend of Underworld and DRIFT community member Ø [Phase]. It's the final part of DRIFT Episode 4 and will be available on all DSPs July 4. Lithe and restless, it edges and darts through unmapped spaces into a place where grimy nocturnal electronics are driven hard by fizzing hi hats and multiple voices ricochet in from the peripheries.

Manchester International Festival today unveils its 2019 programme, which takes place across 18 extraordinary days (4-21 July 2019). Today Frantic Assembly announces its tour dates of The Unreturning, a brand new co-production with Theatre Royal Plymouth. Telling the interwoven stories of three men coming home from war, this new work by Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting winner Anna Jordan will be directed by Frantic Assembly associate director Neil Bettles and marks the 10th anniversary of Frantic Assembly's award-winning Ignition training programme. The Unreturning will have its world premiere at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 20 September 2018 before playing at various venues across the UK until 16 March 2019. Additional tour dates will be announced soon.

Fatherland (Original Music from the Stage Show) is a collection of recordings by Underworld's Karl Hyde and producer/artist Matthew Herbert. The songs are based on extracts from the script for Fatherland, a play conceived and written in collaboration by Karl, playwright Simon Stephens (Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Punk Rock) and Frantic Assembly's Scott Graham. Premiering at Manchester International Festival this July.
