The producers of 'MOTOWN THE MUSICAL' have announced the cast for the UK and Ireland tour. Edward Baruwa will play the leading role of 'Berry Gordy', Karis Anderson will play 'Diana Ross', Nathan Lewis will play 'Smokey Robinson' and Shak Gabbidon-Williams will play 'Marvin Gaye'.

Off-Broadway Musical Bursts Onto the Belgrade's Main Stage
This April, the Belgrade Theatre Coventry will present the European premiere production of The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, the award-winning off-Broadway musical by Kirsten Childs. BWW Review: HAIRSPRAY, New Alexandra Theatre Birmingham, December 14 2015
The dust has only recently settled on the last production of Hairspray at the Curve in Leicester but now this production is on the road across the UK. Based on the packed house at the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham last night, it's proven itself to be a show that people will return to. It's just upsetting that this time around the show did not live up to my expectations.

Freya Sutton will reprise the role of Tracy Turnblad alongside established musical theatre performer Jon Tsouras (A Chorus Line) who will play the role of Corny Collins. Dex Lee (The Scottsboro Boys) will play Seaweed, Ashley Gilmour (Miss Saigon) will play Link Larkin, Lauren Stroud (Wicked) will play Amber, Monique Young (Top Hat) will play Penny, Karis Jack (Urinetown) will play Little Inez, Adam Price (Hairspray) will play Male Authority Figure, Tracey Penn (Made in Dagenham) will play Female Authority Figure and Layton Williams (Bad Education, Billy Elliot) will play Duane.
