Kara Betke is a Singer/Songwriter and Comedic Actress, residing in Brooklyn, NY where she is actively pursing a career in Music and Theatre. Ms. Betke is a Graduate of SUNY Oneonta, where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Theatre.
Kara started performing at the age of nine, where she landed her first role as Baby Louise, in a community theatre production of GYPSY. After the final curtain, she was hooked! Kara has been in numerous Theatre productions, Operas, Films, and Concerts throughout the years. Some favorite past roles have been her portrayal as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Anna Maurrant in Street Scene, and Ursula March in Sweet Charity.
Kara’s most recent ventures have been portraying the role of Sophie in an upcoming feature film, “Korrine” directed by Anthony Laura. Kara also recently ended a stint performing in her one woman show titled “Her Side Of Sound: An Evening with Kara Betke” at the West End in Manhattan. Her Side of Sound incorporated Kara’s original compositions, as well as musical theatre ballads, and pop covers.
