Kafi Pierre began studying dance at the tender age of 4.
At the age of 9, she was accepted to the highly acclaimed, Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts (CWSA) in Canada. After graduating from CWSA and the CWSA Arts program at Earl Haig Secondary School, she moved to New York City after accepting a scholarship to the very prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Center.
Kafi has worked with some of the top choreographers and directors in the business including, Mia Michaels (SYTYCD), A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire) and Jamie King (MJ Immortal tour).
Her performance credits include; Disney’s ‘The Lion King’, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Bombay Dreams’, Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Delirium’ and Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Dralion’, Nathan Trice Rituals Project by Project Dance Company( NY) and Kevin Jeff’s ‘Deeply Rooted Dance Company ( Chicago).
Some of her television appearances include CTV’s “The Ramona Series” with Sarah Polley, ‘The Elephant Show, with Sharon Lois and Bram, CBC, Regis and Kelley, NY1, CW11 and Good Morning America and the Macy’s Day Parade.
She has a BFA in Performing Arts from Saint Mary’s College and has choreographed for Fitness and Entertainment Industry for over 10 years.
Kafi currently can be seen on stage, in the National Tour of FELA! with Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child.
