Hailed as an artist of “…remarkable stage presence and unfettered emotional expression”, Kacey Cardin is recognized for her vibrant vocalism and dramatic intensity. She is a versatile singer-actress whose voice has the rare capability to shine equally in operatic, musical theater, pop, and soul repertoire. Currently in the casts of the National Tour and Off-Broadway productions of Girls Night: The Musical, Kacey also recently starred in the world's first Virtual Reality horror opera - The Parksville Murders, composed by Kamala Sankaram.
She originated the role of Jeanine in the world premiere of the opera electronica Wednesday Before Last, and she received rave reviews as Grazz Glate in the sci-fi musical Invader? I Hardly Know Her! in the 2010 New York City Fringe Festival. Her alter ego, Dixie DeLight, can be seen performing all over New York City and Europe in L'Opera Burlesque with the Hot Box Girls. In 2016, Kacey wrote, co-produced, and starred in Off-Broadway burlesque musical Knockers at the Elektra Theater.
As a Resident Artist for Syracuse Opera, she covered Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) and performed Mimí in an outreach adaptation of La Bohème. Her signature roles include Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Despina (Cosí fan tutte), Anne (A Little Night Music), and Flora (The Turn of the Screw). Additional roles include covers of Cunegonde (Candide) with Pine Mountain Music Festival, Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) with Nashville Opera’s Young Artist Program, and Violetta (La Traviata).
Kacey has been seen in various print and commercial campaigns, including Dell and Garnier Skincare.
