Jordan E. Cooper's OH HAPPY DAY! Extends at Baltimore Center Stage
Due to popular demand, Baltimore Center Stage has announced additional performances of Jordan E. Cooper's new play with music, OH HAPPY DAY! This production, in association with New York's The Public Theatre, features original songs by Donald Lawrence and reunites Cooper with BCS Artistic Director Stevie Walker-Webb for the first time since their collaboration on Broadway's Ain't No Mo'.

The season opener of Berkshire Theatre Group’s 2022 season B.R.O.K.E.N CODE B.I.R.D SWITCHING is not, as the title might suggest to some, about Native American Communication Specialists during WWII. It is one of those relatively infrequent theatrical experiences in which each of the many individuals involved in the production, and their skillful execution of their relative elements supports one another so particularly well, that that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts it’s made of. A powerful piece of theatre in which art imitates life extremely well. An experience that leaves the viewer mouth agape saying WOW and providing an abundance of food for thought.

2016 Roger Rees Awards Honor New York Students; Winners Announced!
The Broadway Education Alliance Inc. presented The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (formerly the Gershwin Awards) on Sunday, May 22 at The Beacon School in Manhattan. The two-hour showcase hosted by Tim Federle (co-writer of Tuck Everlasting) featured 35 students who had played leading roles at 26 high school located throughout the five boroughs of New York, Long Island and Westchester.

The Broadway Education Alliance just presented The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (formerly the Gershwin Awards), yesterday The Beacon High School in Manhattan. This annual talent showcase featured 44 students representing 26 New York City metro area high schools competing for the coveted title of Best Actress and Best Actor in a musical.
