BIO
JUSTIN JOHN MONIZ is no stranger to the stage, having starred in over fifty musicals, operas and operettas. His "refined lyric tenor" and "confident and compelling" work has taken him to New York, Los Angeles, Shanghai, the big island of Hawai'i and beyond, with companies including the Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre, Sarasota Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Opera New Jersey, Orchestra Miami, and the Lake George Music Festival, among others. Lauded by the Miami Herald as a "superb high tenor" and a "vocal standout", his work has also been praised by the Cape Cod Times and The Classical Music Network (ConcertoNet.com). Favorite theatrical credits include: Che in Evita, Caliph in Kismet, Detlef in The Student Prince, Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance, Chip/Olive’s Dad in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Marius in Les Misérables, and Laurie in Little Women.
