Photo Flash: THE UNCANNY APPEARANCE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES
North American Cultural Laboratory (www.NACL.org), Brad Krumholz and Tannis Kowalchuk, Co-Artistic Directors, will present the Manhattan premiere of 'THE UNCANNY APPEARANCE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES,' based on a story written by Mr. Krumholz and created by NACL in collaboration with the ensemble. Krumholz also directs. Performances begin on December 2 at HERE Arts Center (www.here.org), 145 Sixth Avenue (between Spring and Broome Streets, enter on Dominick Street), and the show will officially open on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through Sunday, December 21.
Target Margin Theater Hosts Greek-Influenced Series Jan.11-14
Target Margin Theater, Off Broadway's extraordinary, Obie Award-winning theater company, continues its themed 2007-2008 On The Greeks: Aristophanika season with the revival of three critically acclaimed productions from last season's unique look at the Greeks: As Yet Thou Art Young and Rash, a timely adaptation of Euripides' 'Suppliants;' The Argument, based on Aristotle's 'Poetics;' and Dinner Party, adapted from Plato's 'Symposium.' Under the direction of David Herskovits, the strictly limited return engagement begins performances on Friday, January 11th and will continue through Monday, January 14 at Theater Three
Smith's 'Good Heif' World Premieres at New Georges 10/6
New Georges, the OBIE-winning downtown theater company founded in 1992, will present the world premiere of American playwright Maggie Smith's peculiar fable Good Heif, a full-length play, directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde. Good Heif will be presented in SoHo at the Ohio Theatre. Previews begin October 6, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, October 8 at 7PM. Performances will run through Saturday, October 27.
