Submissions Open for THE 6TH ANNUAL CAPE NEW WRITERS FELLOWSHIP

Submissions are now open for CAPE's (The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) sixth annual CAPE New Writers Fellowship (CNWF). Entertainment industry professionals select the Fellows through a rigorous process that includes three rounds of blind script judging and an interview. Each writer or writing team will participate in an intensive program and receive a cash stipend and certificate upon successful completion of the program. All entries must be submitted electronically at www.capeusa.org/applyCNWF with all forms and scripts in PDF format. All entries are due electronically by Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 11:59 PM PST.
CBS Announces Writers for Its 2017-2018 Writers Mentoring Program Initiative

CBS today announced the eight writers selected to participate in the 2017-2018 Writers Mentoring Program. Now in its 14th year, the program serves to provide mentorships, access and opportunity for writers.

For two decades Friends In Deed has offered emotional and spiritual support for all those affected by life threatening illness, caregiving and grief. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Friends In Deed, Emmy Award winner Sarah Jessica Parker and Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick hosted 'A Little Jurassic Treasure Hunt,' a once-in-a-lifetime event last night, October 3, 2011. At this special benefit event, guests formed teams to trace clues through the American Museum of Natural History in a specially devised hunt created by legendary composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Following a cocktail reception in The Museum's Hall of Mammals, the hunt took place in the Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs and the Hall of Ornithischian Dinosaurs before a dinner reception in the Rose Center for Earth and Space.
