CMA Songwriters Series Announces Charlotte Performance
The Country Music Association's acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance in Charlotte at the McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square Wednesday, Aug. 7 featuring Russell Dickerson, Lindsay Ell, Jordan Reynolds and Frank Rogers. The series hosts an intimate round of performances with some of Country Music's top songwriting talent taking turns sharing the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. Tickets for the performance start at $15 plus service fees and go on sale Friday, July 12 at 10:00 AMET at Blumenthal Performing Arts. $1 of each ticket sold will benefit the CMA Foundation, CMA's philanthropic arm, which is committed to improving and sustaining high quality music education programs across the United States.

Country music royalty and a fifty-one year member of the Grand Ole Opry, Jeannie Seely, took the stage on Friday, December 14 at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena for the Fifth Annual Nashville Senior Christmas ShinnDig for a very special performance of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas." Seely also joined Tim Atwood on his performance of "Something About that Name". Performers in addition to Seely and Atwood included Kathie Lee Gifford, Charlie McCoy, Julie Roberts, Matt Bagher, Paul Allen Coon and Sarah Martin.
Tim Atwood Becomes Newest Member Of Historic Wheeling Jamboree
At the annual Wheeling Jamboree Christmas show, headliner Tim Atwood was surprised during his performance with a very special invitation. An invitation to become an official member of The Wheeling Jamboree, one of the last remaining country music shows of its kind, second only to The Grand Ole Opry. This honor came as a total surprise to Tim as Dave Heath, president of the organization, interrupted him between songs and made the formal announcement.

Grab your sunscreen and head down south for the Chillin' on the Lucie music festival in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Oct. 3 - 7. Headlining will be country icon, Wynonna, with her band The Big Noise, and hit-maker Joe Nichols, with two more to be announced. RaeLynn, Thompson Square, Craig Campbell, Restless Heart, Love and Theft, Trent Tomlinson, Scooter Brown Band and Southern Halo are also scheduled to perform at the festival, with more acts to be announced. Actors Theatre of Louisville has announced the launch of a new city-wide initiative for the 2016-2017 Season and beyond; the Community Ticket Grant program. In serving Actors Theatre's mission to unlock human potential, build community, and enrich quality of life by engaging people in theatre that reflects the wonder and complexities of our time, the Community Ticket Grant program extends the opportunity to experience Actors Theatre's robust programming to any of Louisville and Southern Indiana's residents, who for various reasons, may not have the resources to attend a performance on their own.
Actors Theatre of Louisville Awarded $40,000 from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation
Artistic Director Les Waters and Director of Development Julie Roberts announced today that Actors Theatre of Louisville has been awarded a generous $40,000 exploration grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. The Exploration Grant is a part of the prestigious Building Demand for the Arts program. In collaboration with local performance artist Ben Sollee, Actors Theatre will utilize the funds to explore new engagement initiatives for young audiences through the use of technology and new media. One of only eighteen performing arts organizations in the country to receive this coveted award, Actors Theatre will use the newly formed partnership with Sollee to focus on audience development and community engagement.

Julia Roberts in Talks for NORMAL HEART Film
In a recent interview with Deadline.com, GLEE creator revealed that Julia Roberts might be on board for the upcoming bg screen adaptation of THE NORMAL HEART. Murphy commented: 'Then The Normal Heart is the thing that I'm going to do next. I optioned it and there's a brilliant script that Larry Kramer wrote and I'm going to do that with Mark Ruffalo and maybe Julie Roberts. I believe in that play.'

His parents worked hard to provide Jerrod, and his siblings with a stable and loving home environment. For most of hischildhood, his parents owned and operated a roller skating rink, which offered Jerrod his first real introduction to music.
