BIO
Julie Lyn Barber is a theatre artist and singer based in the Midwest U.S.A. She acts, directs, music directs and choreographs, and is a produced playwright. She is also an early music specialist and sings with a pirate band. While in Portland, Oregon she worked with Northwest Classical Theatre, triangle! productions, Northwest Children’s Theatre, Sylvia’s Dinner Theatre, Portland Opera, and Portland Center Stage. She was also the Managing Director and resident Music Director
and Choreographer of American Heritage Theater Project. Since relocating to Indiana, she has worked with Actors Theatre of Indiana, Richmond Shakespeare Festival, Round Barn Theatre, Nettle Creek Players, Indyfringe, Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis, and played the role of “Berenice” in Cabaret Poe with Q Artistry in Indianapolis every October 2009-2018. She is Head of Musical Theatre and Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre at Purdue University Fort Wayne.
