Shriver Hall Concert Series to Present Sheku And Isata Kanneh-Mason In Recital
Shriver Hall Concert Series will present sibling duo Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 5:30pm. Sheku and Isata are featured in a recital of timeless sonatas including Beethoven's Cello Sonata in C Major, Op. 102, No. 1; Shostakovich's Cello Sonata in D minor, Op. 40; Britten's Cello Sonata in C Major, Op. 65; and Frank Bridge's Cello Sonata in D minor.
NORCA and Sistema In Norwich Announce Special Concert To Celebrate 10 Year Anniversary
For 10 years NORCA and Sistema in Norwich has been transforming the lives of children and young people in the poorest parts of the city. Sistema was launched at Catton Grove and Larkman Primaries in 2009 by Julian Lloyd Webber. Since then, each year it has helped up to 1,000 young people aged 7 to 18 to realise their potential and succeed across all areas of their lives through learning to play a musical instrument and being part of an orchestra.

According to the Pocklington Post, the concert will feature 'clips from his extraordinary life with luminaries such as Cleo Laine and Yehudi Menuhin, as well as music with his brother, Andrew. Julian Lloyd Webber's wife, cellist Jiaxin Lloyd Webber, and pianist Pam Chowhan will perform music closely associated with Lloyd Webber's life.'
The Chamber Orchestra Of Philadelphia Presents The Second Concert Of The 2018/2019 Migrations Season
The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (COP) explores the sound of the pipa alongside familiar European repertoire with works of Mozart and Dvo?ak. These works for strings by master composers are followed by a traditional Chinese tune arranged by COP's own Dirk Brosse. The Pipa is showcased alongside the Chamber Orchestra's sound in Lou Harrison's Concerto for Pipa with String Orchestra. Wu Man will also first introduce us to the instrument by playing a solo piece for the Pipa in the intimate setting of the Perelman Theater.
