BIO
Julian was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He moved to the U.S. to attend Brown University, where he majored in Theatre Arts and International Relations. Upon receiving a full scholarship to NYU Tisch Grad Acting, he furthered his theatre training in New York City.
Julian performed as Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet" Off-Broadway (Classic Stage Company), and later made his Broadway debut in "Doctor Zhivago." His regional credits include Williamstown Theater Festival, La Jolla Playhouse, and Berkeley Rep.
Bilingual and bicultural, Julian has also performed in Japan. Most notably, he played Roger in "RENT" and Orlando in a musical adaptation of Shakespeare's "As You Like It," all in Japanese.
His TV credits include “Mr. Robot” (USA), “Gypsy” (Netflix), “Crashing” (HBO), “The Outpost” (CW), “The Tick” (Amazon Prime), and "Only Murders in the Building" (Hulu).
Julian is set to return to Broadway in 2022 to play the role ofTakeshi Kawabata in Richard Greenberg's "Take Me Out."
