Artistic Director Blaire Baron to Step Down from Shakespeare Youth Festival
After seventeen years with Shakespeare Youth Festival, Blaire Baron is leaving Los Angeles as well as her position as Artistic Director of the youth arts non-profit that she founded. She will continue to serve on the Board of Directors and as a global ambassador from her new location in Staunton, Virginia (home of American Shakespeare Center).

Sauti Kuu - meaning "powerful voices" - is partnering with Los Angeles Drama Club to further their mission of enabling children and young people in Kenya and beyond to find and use their voice to positively change their lives.

OUTSPOKEN: SHAKESPEARE IN SHACKLES will make its national debut on Hollywood's Theatre Row at Studio C Artists on September 25th, 2015, with a large cast playing Shakespeare's most gregarious characters from multiple plays in the Canon. Penned by Blaire Baron Larsen (The Milk Meetings), OUTSPOKEN was workshopped last year at the famed Los Angeles Drama Club, where Larsen serves as Artistic Director.
HELIX Breaks Syfy Records in L7
Syfy's new hit series Helix continued to set channel DVR records, leaping 82% among Adults 18-49 (1.34 million), 74% in Adults 25-54 (1.55 million) and 64% in total viewers (3.0 million) for the premiere on January 10 – the largest increases ever for aSyfy scripted series in L7 viewing.

Intensifying the infection of the American television audience, Syfy's new drama Helix shattered channel ratings records for L+3 growth, soaring 64 percent in Adults 18-49 (1.2 million), 57 percent among Adults 25-54 (1.4 million) and 53 percent among total viewers (2.8 million).
