HAVING OUR SAY is a staged memoir of the Delany Sisters, two women who experienced the Civil Rights Movement and lived to be over 100 years old and tell the tale. This quiet, comfortable play invites the audience to the sister's home as they prepare a meal on stage and recount their extraordinary lives.

HAVING OUR SAY tells the story of the Delany sisters, two sisters who were born to a former slave and grew up in the Jim Crow South. The Delany sisters both lived to be over 100 years old, and wrote their version of events in the 1993 biography that inspired the play. Lyric's production features two Broadway stars in the roles of Bessie and Sadie.
WHAT Announces Cast Of WRINKLES, THE MUSICAL
Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents a fully staged production of Wrinkles, the Musical. With book and lyrics by Wilderness Sarchild and Naomi Turner, Wrinkles, the Musical is directed by Dani Davis and runs October 18-27, with performances at 7:30 p.m.
Trinity Rep Announces BLACK ODYSSEY
Trinity Rep will continue its 2018-19 Season with the epic tale of black odyssey by Marcus Gardley. Inspired by Homer's Odyssey, this story examines Ulysses Lincoln's journey home from war when the world - and the gods - are against him. This adventure brings the combination of history and heart together in a poignant and imaginative story that will captivate audiences. This production will feature resident acting company members, Jude Sandy and Joe Wilson, Jr. as co-directors, with Joe Wilson, Jr. as Ulysses Lincoln. black odyssey runs January 3 - February 3 with press opening on Monday, January 7 at 7:30 pm. North Coast Rep to Present AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'
?AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' is a roof-raising musical tribute to the black musicians of the '20s and '30s. Based on the signature Fats Waller song, this rousing musical revue takes audiences back to the glory days of the Harlem Renaissance when the Cotton Club and Savoy Ballroom served as playgrounds for high society. You'll be tapping your feet as five performers take you on a journey, presenting an evening of rowdy, raunchy, and humorous songs. Directed by Yvette Freeman, known for her work as a television actress in the medical drama series "ER", who replaced Nell Carter in the original Broadway production of AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'. Later, Ms. Freeman went on to direct the show all over the country.

Shire, Weidman, et al. Honored by National Arts Club
On Sunday, November 14, 2010, The National Arts Club was the site of a Gala evening honoring Richard Maltby, Jr., David Shire and John Weidman. The VIP guests enjoyed cocktails and a repast featuring the culinary artistry of the talented chefs at The National Arts Club. Guests were then entertained with a variety of music by David Shire and Richard Maltby,Jr. with selections from the musicals of Scott Frankel, Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman and performed by Stars of Broadway, Television and Film, including BD Wong, Karen Ziemba, Mario Cantone, Lynne Wintersteller , Julia Lema and Fred Applegate. Memorable Recollections were provided by theatre greats Susan Stroman and Gala honorary Chairs Maury Yeston and Sheldon Harnick. After the awards presentation guests enjoyed Champagne, coffee and a magnificent array of desserts.
