San Francisco Playhouse to Present JERUSALEM in Early 2014

San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English and Producing Director Susi Damilano) launches the New Year with the West Coast's first production of Jerusalem, Jez Butterworth's epic Tony and Olivier award-winning play. Bill English directs and Brian Dykstra* stars in the role of Johnny 'Rooster' Byron. The production also features Julia Belanoff, Joe Estlack, Richard James*, Riley Krull, Maggie Mason, Ian Scott McGregor*, Aaron Murphy, Paris Hunter Paul*, Chris Reber*, Joshua Schell, Devon Simpson, and Courtney Walsh.

On Saturday, December 7, TheatreWorks opened the Broadway musical 'Little Women' to an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd in Palo Alto, CA. After the performance, attendees emerged into the courtyard of the Lucie Stern Theatre to find snow - make with theatre magic! - followed by a champagne reception and meet-and-greet with the cast. Stagedoor Manor Joins Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Lineup

A group of 136 Stagedoor Manor students from all over the world will sing and dance the grand finale at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®, marking the famed theatrical summertime training ground's fourth consecutive Parade performance. After traveling the entire parade route, the Stagedoor Manor students will arrive at Herald Square and introduce Santa Claus by performing the number "Santa By The Book" from Macy's new program Yes, Virginia The Musical. Yes, Virginia The Musical had its world premiere at Stagedoor Manor earlier this year and its original cast, made up of 28 Stagedoor Manor students ages 10-13, will accompany Santa and Mrs. Claus on their float for the entirety of the Parade route.

Classical-pop recording artist Julia Belanoff sang the national anthem at the game between the San Francisco Giants and the Chicago Cubs at AT&T Field in San Francisco yesterday, June 3. The 17-year-old singer arrived early for a sound check, and had a chance to mingle with some of The Players and one special guest-baseball Hall of Famer and former Cincinnati Reds catcher Johnny Bench, who was visiting to promote skin cancer awareness for the Play Sun Smart program.
