Jude Treder-Wolff is a singer/songwriter, comic, writer/performer and storyteller who has created shows drawn from her experiences as a creative arts therapist for the past 15 years. The show includes original songs written by Jude Treder-Wolff in collaboration with Musical Director Well Hanley.
In 1994 she wrote a full-length play titled Tapestry Of Hope based on the NAMES Project-AIDS Memorial Quilt - with financial assistance from the New York Council For The Arts. For that production, which toured the New York area for 2 years raising funds and social awareness about the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, she created the character of Rana Reynolds, a self-absorbed, bitter talk-show host broadcasting from the great beyond - based on the self-absorbed, bitter and most likely alcoholic nuns who showered her with crazy when she was a child - who interviews herself. That character evolved into an alcoholic, self-absorbed nun character who has made her way into the cabaret/comedy shows Treder-Wolff wrote and performed in clubs and venues in New York and around the country, including The Laurie Beechman Theater, Danny's Skylight Room, Rose's Turn, The Duplex, Judy's Chelsea, Stand-up New York, New York Comedy Club in NY, The Vail-Leavitt Theater, Ward Melville Education and Culture Center, and Theater Three on Long Island. She was also featured at Ovations in Houston, ArtSpace in Santa Fe and Bucketworks in Milwaukee WI.
In 2010 she wrapped a 25-year career as a creative arts psychotherapist - working in every aspect of the mental health field - and began performing solo shows and speaking full-time, specializing in the ability to find the funny in the most dead-serious situations.
