BIO
Juan Drigo Ricafort is multi-genre musical artist whose work blends hip-hop, musical theatre, and science fiction. He co-wrote and rapped in #BARS at The Public Theater, created by Daveed Diggs (HAMILTON) and Rafael Casal (HBO's Def Poetry). In 2017 he released his debut single, "The Council Has Spoken", a Star Wars-based rap opera featuring two-time Tony Award nominee Robin de Jesus (official music video available at http://www.starwarsraps.com). That same year, he also played the role of Graffiti Pete in Marcos Santana's production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's IN THE HEIGHTS, which broke box-office records at the Olney Theatre in Maryland. He is based in Queens, NY.

Today Juan Drigo Ricafort announces the release of the record single 'The Council Has Spoken,' featuring two-time Tony Award nominee Robin de Jes s (Original 2008 Broadway cast of IN THE HEIGHTS, 2010 Broadway revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, and musical film CAMP). Inspired by the story of Star Wars, 'The Council Has Spoken' is a rap opera born out of Ricafort's own influences, including trap hip-hop, contemporary musical theatre, and short-form audio drama.
