Considering their recent losses, physical theatre giants Spymonkey would have been justified to adapt a Greek tragedy rather than a comedy. The death of Stephan Kreiss in 2021 and the departure of Petra Massey to Las Vegas now leaves only Toby Park and Aitor Bassauri remaining.

Michael Frayn's award winning Noises Off makes a welcome return to the Lyric Hammersmith nearly forty years since it premiered to great acclaim at the theatre in 1982 and instantly became an iconic British comedy. The multi award winning backstage comedy, which runs from 27 June until 27 July, will be directed by Jeremy Herrin and designed by Max Jones in a new production.

The poet, Sebastian Venable, is dead. And his traveling companion and cousin, Catherine Holly (Larissa Archer), believes she has witnessed 'something unspeakable'. Sebastian's mother (Joyce Henderson) secures the support of Dr. Cukrowicz (Mark Bird) from the State Psychiatric Hospital in an attempt to 'preserve the memory and reputation of her son'. As an investigation into the mysterious death of Sebastian Venable unfolds, Mrs. Venable goes to extraordinary lengths to stop Catherine from telling her version of the events last summer.

Representing the print and electronic media, 23 members of the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle announce the winners of 37 Drama awards and 37 Musical awards from 257 nominated actors, designers, productions, and more reviewed in 2008. Over 400 productions were seen in 2008 by Circle critics reviewing theatre from San Jose to Santa Rosa, San Francisco to Concord.
