Random Access Theatre Company brings to the New Orleans Fringe Festival five actors with only 60 minutes to enact a non-linear, gender-bending exploration of Shakespeare's The Tempest. As an original, gallery style, ensemble piece, Tempting Air re-stages new and old interpretations of Shakespeare's The Tempest to examine our physical and emotional responses to chaos and re-imagines traditional relationships between audience and artist so participants can collectively investigate the classic play of storms, spirits and power. This spring, the students in Site-Specific Directing at Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA) have staged theatre all over New York City: from St. Mark's Church, to Tompkins Square Park, Central Park, and more. The directors concluded their class this past week by fully producing Chekhov on the Hudson - six short Chekhov adaptations near the Hudson River.
