Casting and Production Crew Announced for THE LIAR
Casting has been announced for The Liar, David Ives's "translaptation" of Pierre Corneille's 1643 farce of the same name, according to Ed Rutherford, the Promethean Theatre Ensemble artistic associate who is directing the production. The title character, Dorante, a charming young man who cannot tell the truth, will be played by Josh Hambrock. Dorante's love interest Clarice (who he believes to be named Lucrece, the name of her friend who will be played by Katherine Schwartz) will be played by ensemble member Meghann Tabor.
Lifeline Theatre Extends A TALE OF TWO CITIES Through 4/13
A Tale of Two Cities runs through April 13 at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood Ave. (free parking and shuttle; see below). Performance times are Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m., and Sundays at 4 p.m.

Lifeline Theatre presents a world premiere adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities, by ensemble member Christopher M. Walsh, and directed by ensemble member Elise Kauzlaric (Non-Equity Jeff Award nominee for Mariette in Ecstasy). The Reign of Terror sweeps through Paris, destroying both the high and low, and two Londoners are confronted with impossible choices. Will former aristocrat Charles Darnay abandon his family and brave the revolutionary storm to protect an innocent man? And can depressive barrister Sydney Carton find the strength to make the ultimate sacrifice for the unrequited love of his life? BroadwayWorld, the biggest theater site on the web, today announces the winners of its 2010 BroadwayWorld Chicago Awards! Productions and artists representing thirteen shows have come out on top, after online voting by fans of Chicago theater from November 1 through December 20, 2010. The 121 nominees in the 25 categories were drawn from 57 different theater productions in the Chicago area which opened between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2010.
