Sundance Institute Announces 2020 Momentum Fellows and Launch Grant Fund Recipients
Sundance Institute announced today two support tracks for artists from underrepresented communities, continuing the Institute's commitment to fostering inclusive artistic visions. Announced today are the eight members of the second class of the Momentum Fellowship, a full-year program of deep, customized creative and professional support for writers, directors, and producers from underrepresented communities who are poised to take the next step in their careers, working across documentary and feature filmmaking, and episodic content. Sundance Institute also announced the four awardees of the inaugural Launch Grant Fund, a new opportunity for emerging filmmakers from underrepresented communities launching their first feature film.

SundanceTV released the official key art and a new teaser for season two of the critically acclaimed original dramedy This Close, premiering on Thursday, September 12 at 9:00p.m. PT/midnight ET. The expanded second season, featuring eight, half-hour episodes, will air with two back-to-back episodes on Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13, and the following week on Thursday, September 19 and Friday, September 20. With a family history steeped in lost mines, buried gold and Old West lore, the Arizona natives aren't your typical treasure hunters. To unravel these more than 100-year-old mysteries, the Feldmans put themselves in the shoes of the people of the era. Every hunt is grounded in history: they search for old maps, diaries and records, as well as connect with locals who have intimate knowledge of the area. With reverence for the past and a taste for adventure, the brothers track legends and clues across the vast American Frontier in search of unfound riches. Sundance Now's THIS CLOSE Unveils Season Two Guest Star Lineup
Sundance Now, AMC Networks' premium video streaming service, today announced actors Marcia Cross (“Desperate Housewives”), Camryn Manheim (“Waco”), Austin Nichols (“The Walking Dead”), Lisa Rinna (“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), Margaret Cho (“Bright”) and Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place) will guest star in the second season of “This Close.” They will join guest stars Zach Gilford, Colt Prattes, Marlee Matlin, Cheryl Hines, Nyle DiMarco, and Moshe Kasher who will reprise their roles from season one. ANNOUNCES 2017 AWARD WINNERS
Los Angeles, July 16, 2017 – Outfest – the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBT stories on the screen – has announced the award winners of its 2017 Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival, presented by HBO.
The nation's leading LGBT festival ran from July 6th to July 16th. The 2017 Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival closes tonight with Trudie Styler's comedic Freak Show, starring Bette Midler, Alex Lawther, AnnaSophia Robb, Abigail Breslin, Ian Nelson, Larry Pine and featuring a cameo from Laverne Cox.
