The New York City based tap ensemble Dorrance Dance roared into Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theatre this past weekend with their take on Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker Suite as arranged by Billy Strayhorn. For those of you not familiar with this recording, do yourself a favor and look it up. You have not lived until you have heard “Waltz of the Flowers”, or in this case, “Floreodores” played with a swinging horn section. Trust me on this one

Jacob's Pillow Announces Festival Week 1 Programming
Dorrance Dance and Paris Opéra Ballet will kick off Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival 2021 in its opening week later this month. Dorrance Dance's performances mark the first live, in-person performances at the Pillow since 2019, while at the same time Paris Opéra Ballet will stream exclusively online for two weeks - a first for the Festival.
50th Annual BLUE RIBBON CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL Announced
The Blue Ribbon Children's Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2021 with a 30-minute online program designed to share the love of the arts through dance with young people of all ages. The Joyce Announces Fall 2019/Winter 2020 Season
