Directed by Roger Welch, the script by Ian Frost and Joseph Nixon dramatizes the frustrations of actors Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw who were forced to wait aimlessly between takes in the cramped galley of a boat. Revolution Stage is presenting the production in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Jaws.

Broadway Licensing Global has acquired the rights to The Shark is Broken, by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon. The 95 minute, three-person play received a highly praised premiere at the Edinburgh Festival in 2019. It has since gone on to widely celebrated runs on London’s West End and a recently closed run, on Broadway.
