BIO

OSEPH DRUMMOND is a retired Production Stage Manager after 42 seasons with Goodman Theatre in Chicago, where his credits included over 130 productions, including: The Iceman Cometh (which was also transferred to the Brooklyn Academy of Music BAM), Death of a Salesman (also transferred to Broadway in 1999 and at the Ahmanson Theatre, and Glengarry Glen Ross (also on Broadway in 1984). Joseph was an insructor of Stage Management for Roosevelt University in Chicago. He is a winner of the Del Hughes Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Art of Stage Management and currently serves the national Stage Managers Association as the Central Region Representative.

The Stage Managers' Association Will Present the 2020 Del Hughes Awards For Lifetime Achievement In The Art Of Stage Management

On Monday, September 21, 2020, the Stage Managers' Association (SMA) will present its annual Del Hughes Awards for Lifetime Achievement in the Art of Stage Management to two distinguished honourees, Philadelphia based stage manager Patreshettarlini (Pat) Adams and Chicago based stage manager Alden J. Eclipse Theatre Company announces its Eighth Annual Corona Award, to be presented to Joseph Drummond, Goodman Theatre Production Stage Manager. The Corona Award honors an individual who has played an important role in supporting and nurturing the growth of the Chicago theater community as well as small- to medium-sized ensembles such as Eclipse Theatre. The Corona Award derives its name from the Latin word, meaning crown, as well as outer atmosphere of the sun most easily seen during a total eclipse.

Artistic Associate Henry Wishcamper directs the classic 1939 play about wealth's corrupting power-one of Hellman's most notable works, which was adapted into a 1941 film starring Bette Davis-centering on the Hubbard family's ruthless pursuit in the South's post-bellum economic slump. Goodman Theatre Announces March-April 2015 Lineup for Citywide August Wilson Celebration

Goodman Theatre, in collaboration with Chicago's various off-Loop theaters and Northwestern University, unveils partial programming in its spring 2015 citywide "August Wilson Celebration" -- an extensive retrospective of the late playwright's life, artistry and influence on American culture. The seven-week Celebration takes place in March and April 2015 on dual landmark occasions: the 70th anniversary of the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's birth and the 10th anniversary of his death.
