PYO Music Institute Students Placed in All City Concerto Competition
Participating in The School District of Philadelphia’s All-City Music Program is a great honor, and this year six members of the PYO Music Institute have placed in the All-City Concerto Competition. Consisting of the top performing student musicians within The School District of Philadelphia, the All-City Music Program is audition based and includes a full symphonic orchestra, concert band, and choir.
The Dover Quartet Names Julianne Lee As New Violist
The Curtis Institute of Music has announced that the internationally-celebrated Dover Quartet has named Curtis alumna Julianne Lee (Violin '05) as its new violist. Ms. Lee, who currently serves as assistant principal second violin of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and principal second violin with the Boston Pops Orchestra, has forged a remarkable career as both a violinist and violist, frequently appearing as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player.

London's acclaimed Academy of St Martin in the Fields makes its highly anticipated return to Bravo! Vail with Music Director Joshua Bell. World-renowned resident orchestras-the New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra-join for 17 programs led by Music Directors Jaap van Zweden, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and Fabio Luisi, in addition to guest conductors Marin Alsop, Giancarlo Guerrero, Hannu Lintu, Stéphane Denève, Jeff Tyzik, and Justin Freer.

Shriver Hall Concert Series (SHCS) — Baltimore's premier presenter of chamber music ensembles and solo recitalists — continues its 2022-23 season with the highly anticipated return of acclaimed cellist Steven Isserlis on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 5:30pm. Award-winning Canadian pianist Connie Shih joins Isserlis for his fifth appearance with SHCS. A pre-concert talk takes place at 4:30pm and is open to all ticket holders.
