Guaranteed to get the blood pumping and open your Chakras so you're ready for a day on the Fringe, Yoga with Jillian, a brand-new screwball comedy by Lia Romeo opens at the Pleasance on 2 August and promises to give your chuckle muscles a good workout.
LAST Comes to Pleasance Courtyard in August
The world premiere of Lash by award-winning playwright and Fringe favourite Philip Stokes, performed by Jack Stokes, winner of the Theatre Weekly Award for Best Solo Performer at last year’s Fringe, opens at the Pleasance Courtyard on 2 August at 23.00, just in time for last orders (press performances from 4 August).
JESUS, JANE, MOTHER & ME to Return to Edinburgh Fringe
After winning the Critic's Award for Best Play, and the Theatre Weekly Award for Best Solo Performer at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year, and following a run in Australia and a UK tour, Philip Stokes' play Jesus, Jane, Mother & Me will return to the Pleasance from 2 August. LEAVING VIETNAM Comes to the Park Theatre
In Richard Vergette's one-man play, war veteran Jimmy Vandenberg feels ignored and alienated by the country he has faithfully served, and finds a home for his simmering resentment in Trump's slogan 'Make America Great Again'. In the wake of Trump and Brexit, Leaving Vietnam explores how the disillusioned and overlooked are attracted to the politics of populism.

Award-winning writer and director Philip Stokes (Heroin(e) For Breakfast) returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the world premiere of Jesus, Jane, Mother & Me at the Pleasance Dome from 3 August. Produced by Lawrence Batley Theatre in association with KETCHUP productions and Richard Jordan Productions the show is performed by Jack Stokes in his Edinburgh debut.
