a graduate of USC, Joni's full length plays include "A BRUSH WITH FATE" which ran at the West Coast Ensemble Theatre in Hollywood in one of the early Fringe Festivals (1 Dramalogue nomination); "FOR PETE'S SAKE" (under the name JR Sussman)which ran at the Chance Theatre in Anaheim, was nominated Best New Play by OC Weekly, won Best Play DP Weekly, was a finalist in the Int'l Playwrights Circle Playwriting Competition (Brooklyn Publishers). "BEETHOVEN AND MISFORTUNE COOKIES" ran at the Met in LA then went to the Midwest for a short stint then returned to LA's Odyssey Theatre where it was extended due to critical acclaim. (directed by TJ Castronova and starring Earnest Harden, Jr.) The play was optioned by Woodie King Jr., and will appear in OC-Centric this August at Chapman University. "BLINDED" which enjoyed a successful run at the Brickhouse Theatre in No. Hollywood in 2017. Produced by John Lant in assoc. with Write Act Rep. Some of her One Acts include: "Jack of Hearts" (a play teaching math through music commissioned by the BlackRock Center for the Arts -played throughout PSUSD and others. "The Green Grocer" winner/ finalist in dozens of festivals including The Dublin Festival, The Tulip Festival (NYC) "Sex Love and The Premature Evacuation" winner/finalist in various festivals including The Strawberry Festival (NYC) "Tucked Away" runner up to the winning play March, 2019 at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood for Ink Fest. Ravenna is also a TV writer, co-author of "You Let Some GIRL Beat You?-The Ann Meyers Drysdale Story", and a regular contributor to Mind/Body section of The Epoch Times.

The musical workshop of The Manager world premieres at The Bourbon Room November 13th and 14th. The real-life story of the six degrees of separation between Elvis, Colonel Tom Parker, Ricky Nelson and Louis Jay Pearlman is told through the original songs by Ben Susskind. Steve Josephson directs the cast of Kevin Baily, Ted Barton, Steve Josephson, Payson Lewis, Douglas Nottage, Marguerite MacIntyre, Jesse Corbin, Travis Nesbitt, Jesse JP Johnson, Christopher Messin, Cecily Gish and Melanie Au-Yeung.
