BGMC & Gay Men's Chorus Of LA Face Off In Super Bowl Challenge

With the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams squaring off in the Big Game on February 3, the Boston Gay Men's Chorus (BGMC) and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles have agreed on a challenge. If the Patriots defeat the Los Angeles Rams, the LA Chorus will perform Please Come to Boston by Dave Loggins. If the Rams are victorious, BGMC will perform Randy Newman's I Love LA and make it available online. The winner will also make a donation to GALA Choruses, the North American association serving the LGBTQ choral moving, for its work supporting emerging LGBTQ choruses.
Boston Gay Men's Chorus Issue a World Series Challenge to Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles

Today, the Boston Gay Men's Chorus (BGMC) issued a World Series challenge to the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles. If the Boston Red Sox defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fall classic, the LA Chorus will perform Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline,' a tradition at Fenway Park. If the Dodgers are victorious, BGMC will perform Randy Newman's 'I Love LA' and make it available online. Gay Men's Chorus Of Los Angeles Rolls Out The Pink Carpet With Actor Leslie Jordan

Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), one of the country's longest-running and largest LGBTQ arts organizations, will round out its memorable 39th Season with its highly anticipated summer concert, "The Pink Carpet: The Portrayal of LGBTQ People in Film" at the end of this month. Throughout the show, GMCLA will explore the variety of ways that Tinseltown has portrayed members of the LGBTQ community, and conversely how through its cinematic works over the last few decades, from the silent era through today's blockbusters and independent classics, Hollywood has impacted cultural beliefs and norms by pushing boundaries and blurring gender roles.
