Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Receives $20,000 California Arts Council Grant

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts received a $20,000 grant from the California Arts Council that will help support The Wallis School Partners Program, which provides the opportunity for students from K-12 schools within Los Angeles County to attend student matinee performances featuring some of the world class artists presented on The Wallis' stages. International City Theatre Awarded 2 Arts Education Grants By California Arts Council

International City Theatre's arts education programming is the grateful recipient of $34,200 in grant monies from the California Arts Council, with an $18,000 Artists in School award earmarked for ICT's Performing Arts Classroom Teaching program (PACT) and $16,200 in Youth Arts Action funds designated for the company's Summer Youth Conservatory.

Jo Schuman Silver, producer of Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon, announced today the nine Bay Area high school seniors selected as finalists for The Steve Silver Foundation and Beach Blanket Babylon "Scholarship for the Arts." Each of the finalists will perform live in front of family, friends, and a panel of celebrity judges on Monday, June 3. Loretta Greco Named Recipient of Zelda Fichandler Award

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) will present the Zelda Fichandler Award to Loretta Greco, Artistic Director of the Magic Theatre, at a special ceremony hosted by Larry Goldfarb at Villa Taverna in San Francisco on January 31. The award was originally presented at an event in New York City on November 11, 2018 and accepted by Taylor Mac on Greco's behalf.
