It's 1959. Chris, a local DJ, gets word that legendary jazz and blues musician Lonnie Johnson is working a low-wage job at a Philly hotel, forgotten. Once found, Lonnie, an early guitar hero who influenced the likes of Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, T-Bone Walker, Django Reinhardt, Charlie Christian, B.B. King, and Eric Clapton, is reluctant to return to an industry that exploited and segregated his work before casting him aside.

Cohesion Theatre Company is proud to announce the third production of their 2017/2018 season and their first ever repertory production. Continuing to explore the season theme of 'E Pluribus Unum,' the shows in repertory will utilize the same diverse cast to tell two seemingly very different stories, La Llorona by Cecelia Raker and The Orphan Sea by Caridad Svich. Despite the plays' notable differences, it is the hope of Cohesion that these stories in conversation with one another will inspire discussion and thought long after leaving the theater.

I Do! is based on the Jan de Hartog play The Fourposter and the original Broadway production received seven Tony Award nominations. The curtain goes up at 8:00 p.m. on a four-week run with an opening night wedding cake and champagne after the show. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the stars below!

In Ike at Night, remarkable comic performer Ikechukwu Ufomadu, described as the son that Woody Allen and Frank Sinatra never had, hosts a late-night talk show in front of a live studio audience - you. Each night is a completely different and brand-new mix of comedy, music and interviews. With sold-out runs at Brooklyn venue JACK in 2014 and The Public Theater's Under the Radar Festival in 2015, the show features Jonathan Jacobs aka The Vintage DJ as 'bandleader' and B. Brian Argotsinger as Ike's sidekick.
