A CHORUS LINE takes Firestone Theatre stage Six Times In April
Firestone Theatre presents the school edition of the seminal musical A Chorus Line. Evening performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, 2020. A single matinee performance will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2020. General admission tickets are $10.00 in advance, and $12.00 at the door. A reserved seat is available online for $14.00 and a premium VIP seat is $17.00. Tickets are available online now at FirestoneTheatre.com. Hard tickets will be available at the school between 11 and 1:00 p.m. starting Monday, March 23, 2020. Tickets for A Chorus Line will also be available at the door on the evening of performance.
NBC Orders Four More Episodes of This Season of SUPERSTORE
So far in its fifth season, “Superstore” is averaging a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall in “live plus seven day” Nielsens. The season premiere has surged to a 2.8 rating in 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers to date when viewing on all platforms is counted, easily tripling the episode's next-day “live plus same day” 0.8 rating in 18-49.
HAMLET Set To Stalk The Firestone Stage
William Shakepeare's enduring masterpiece of revenge, passion, and deception, Hamlet, is set to take life on stage for three performances in November. The play is under the direction of guest director Tess Burgler, managing director of Akron's Ohio Shakespeare Festival (OSF). Hamlet features the story of a Danish prince who returns home to find his father killed and his mother marrying the murderer. When his father's ghost rises to demand retribution, he is put in an impossible situation. Performances of Hamlet will be held at 7:30 p.m. November 21, 22, and 23, 2019, in the Linda B. Kersker Auditorium at Firestone CLC. General admission tickets to Hamlet are $8.00 in advance, $10.00 at the door, and $12.00 for reserved, VIP seating. All tickets are currently available online and at the door on the night of performance. These performances of Hamlet represent the latest in a long line of Shakespearean plays presented as on ongoing effort to educate our students as performers, technicians, and audience members to the magic and mystery of the Bard's greatest works.
Two Pathbreaking World Premieres Highlight MOR's Fall Concert
Music of Remembrance (MOR) opens its 22nd season with world premieres of two pathbreaking works: Ryuichi Sakamoto's Passage and Shinji Eshima's Veritas. MOR will unveil these timely works as part of its program on Sunday, November 3 at 4:00 p.m. at the Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall at Benaroya Hall.
