On Tuesday, March 16, award-winning authors and former military officers Elliot Ackerman and Admiral James Stavridis come to The Music Hall's virtual stage as part of the Writers on in The Loft series, now being presented in an intimate, online format. Ackerman and Stavridis will discuss their new novel 2034, a chillingly authentic, geopolitical thriller that imagines a naval clash between the US and China—and the path to a nightmarish global conflagration.

NJ Poetry Out Loud Competition Names State Champion

Beatrice Dimaculangan, a junior from Jonathan Dayton High School, was named State Champion at the 2015 NJ Poetry Out Loud State Finals competition, part of the national poetry recitation program. The state finals took place Friday at the Richardson Auditorium in Princeton University's Alexander Hall and kicked-off the International Princeton Poetry Festival. Ms. Dimaculangan will move on to represent New Jersey at the national finals in Washington, DC in April to compete against 52 champions from every state and territory--all vying for the national title and the chance to win prizes including college scholarships.
