Shakespeare & Company Presents MACBETH Directed By Melia Bensussen

Shakespeare & Company presents William Shakespeare's Macbeth, directed by Obie Award-winning director Melia Bensussen. Company veterans Jonathan Croy and Tod Randolph take the helm as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, two of Shakespeare's most notorious anti-heroes. Shakespeare's stunning classic of blind ambition and corrosive power runs from July 3 - August 5 in the Tina Packer Playhouse.

Shakespeare & Company's Northeast Regional Tour of Shakespeare is now on the road. This year, the Company's Tour brings two Shakespeare productions, Othello, the Moor of Venice and A Midsummer Night's Dream, to over 20,000 students. The Tour visits 75 schools throughout the Northeast in nine different states including; Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Maryland.

Shakespeare & Company to Celebrate the Bard's Birthday with A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

Each year Shakespeare festivals around the globe celebrate the birthday of our greatest playwright with special events. Shakespeare & Company is proud to partake in the movement. On Saturday, April 22 at 7pm, the Northeast Regional Tour will present William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in the Tina Packer playhouse. A reception with the cast will follow the performance.

It was appropriate that two-time Tony Award winner William Finn was present at The First Annual Berkshire Theatre Award ceremony held in Pittsfield MA. on  Sunday November 13th. Mr. Finn won a Tony for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee which was home grown up in The Berkshires at Barrington Stage Company. Although he didn't have any work in contention for the prestigious award, Finn did accept a few 'Berkies' for some artists who could not receive their awards in person.
