Attended wall-to-wall, canvas-to-canvas by lovers of abstract expressionism at its best, LaFleur's meteoric rise among art critics and collectors alike has established her as one of the preeminent artists of her generation in the genre. Nassau County's newest state of the art theater and special events venue, The Space at Westbury opened September 17 on the site of the long abandoned, graffiti-filled eyesore, the historic Westbury Theater.
