CMA Fest Reveals Lineup For Additional Free Daytime Stages
CMA Fest has revealed the lineups for three daytime stages that are free to the public during the four-day festival in June. Chevy Breakout Stage at Walk of Fame Park, Maui Jim Broadway Stage at Bridgestone Plaza and Nashville Acoustic Corner Stage will feature over 110 performances Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9,highlighting fan favorites and rising Country stars daily.

“Fight On” from SHANNON SANDERS and the Nashville Urban Choir is a resolution anthem. The song is being purposefully released on Feb 8th, 2019, in honor of and in celebration for Black History Month, which lands at that moment in the new year when commitment to new intentions begins to wane and the reality of the work required to push past old habits sinks in. “Fight On,” written and performed by SANDERS (vocalist, songwriter, producer, musical director, philanthropist, and program director of Nashville's 102.1 The Ville), features a rousing neo-gospel performance from the Nashville Urban Choir. American Experience to Stream RFK In Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Robert F. Kennedy's Assassination
To mark the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, American Experience will stream its acclaimed 2004 portrait, RFK from June 5 through Labor Day on its site. Written and directed by David Grubin and produced by Grubin and Sarah Colt, the acclaimed two-hour film traces RFK's rise in public life, from attorney general in his brother's administration to his 1968 campaign for president that tragically ended with an assassin's bullet.
The New York Musical Festival Announces Initial Lineup for 2017 Festival
The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the initial lineup for 2017 NYMF. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project musical selections, as well as invited production selections. Now in its fourteenth year, the 2017 Festival will take place July 10th through August 6th at locations around midtown Manhattan in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director & Producer and Rachel Sussman serves as Director of Programming & Artist Services.
The National Civil Rights Museum Announces 25th Freedom Award
Today, the National Civil Rights Museum announced recipients of The Freedom Award, the museum's signature event that honors outstanding individuals for their significant contributions to civil and human rights. This year's honorees are Benjamin Crump, civil rights attorney; Tawakkol Karman, Yemeni human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate; The Honorable Damon Jerome Keith, longest serving judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit Court; Soledad O'Brien, journalist and executive producer; and Bryan Stevenson, attorney and social justice activist.

As events unfolded on Friday evening, AJAM, in conjunction with its sister network Al Jazeera English, aired live coverage from Paris, including reports by the first English speaking reporter at the site of the attacks. This week's coverage follows a weekend of rolling news since late Friday afternoon ET.

The event featured dinner and entertainment from the Afro-beat band and dancers from the Tony award-winning Broadway Show FELA!, Chop and Quench.
