Centenary Stage Company Announces YPW Winter Festival Of Shows, Spring Registration

The Centenary Stage Company continues their tradition of nurturing young artists and proudly presents the Young Performers Workshop Winter Festival of Shows. The 2019/2020 winter productions include: Anything Goes, George M and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The productions will run from December 14 through Dec 22. All shows will take place in the Little Theatre, located on the campus of Centenary University at 400 Jefferson Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Tickets price at $12.50 for Adults and $10.00 for Children under 12.

Wow, Wow, Wow Fellas! Meet the Creative Team of Broadway-Bound HELLO, DOLLY!

As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, Bette Midler will indeed return to Broadway in one of the most cherished shows in musical theater history when she takes on the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi in Michael Stewart's (book) and Jerry Herman's (music and lyrics) masterpiece, Hello, Dolly!. Directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Hello, Dolly! will begin performances on Broadway on March 13, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017. Rehearsals begin one year from today. This new production of Hello, Dolly!, the first new production of this classic musical to appear on Broadway since it opened more than fifty years ago, will have at its helm Jerry Zaks as its director, and will feature choreography by Tony Award-winner Warren Carlyle. The new Dolly! will pay tribute to the original work of legendary director/choreographer Gower Champion, which has been hailed both then and now as one of the greatest stagings in musical theater history. Beginning with his childhood in Rhode Island on the vaudeville circuit with his parents and sister as 'The Four Cohans,' to New York, where he starts his 25-year absolute reign of the Broadway stage.

Locals Star In GEORGE M! At The Westchester Broadway Theatre, 6/7 - 7/1

When George M! opens at the Westchester Broadway Theatre this Thursday, June 7, it will be adorned with a little local flair! Four members of this fantastic cast are Hudson Valley locals! Melodie Wolford, of Putnam Valley, who plays Nellie Cohan (George's mom) is a teacher at the Peekskill Movement Center. Victoria Dennis (nine years old) plays the Little Girl, which isn't her first role at the Westchester Broadway Theatre; she played Annie in Big River, she also will appear at the Apollo Theatre this Summer. Gabriella Palminteri, (ten years old) from Bedford, who alternates in the role of Little Girl, is also no stranger to the WBT stage, Last year she appeared in the Musical, Suessical as Mrs. Mayor. Colin Pritchard, of Harrison, is returning to the stage at the Westchester Broadway Theatre, the ensemble member of George M!, was most recently seen in our 2005 production of Sugar.
