John Kelly Connolly is currently working on Flare Path with the Griffin Theatre, rewriting his third screenplay A List, producing Three Fights for GiftFILM and trying to lose weight.

He’s a proud Chicagoan who loves comic books art, Joe’s Pizza (see the lose weight part right above, see?), Jameson’s Whiskey, The Good Wife, Yes, John Powers, Hagan’s shrimp, Dr Pepper, his Mom and Dad (who should have been put first), coffee, Paddy Chayefsky, the Cuckoos, Sherlock, Irish sausages, the Cubs, Sandra Bullock, Superdawg, Six Part Seven, Coleman, Elmore Leonard, rain, Newsroom, no shoe summers, The Band Perry, Nobody’s Fool with Paul Newman and everyone and anyone associated with the Gift Theatre. So we guess that means you.

HANG MAN Premiere, COSMOLOGIES and More Set for The Gift Theatre's 2018 Season

During last night's Season Release Bash at Old Irving Brewery Co., artistic director and co-founder Michael Patrick Thornton proudly announced The Gift Theatre's 2018 season will include: Stacy Amma Osei-Kuffour's world premiere of Hang Man, directed by ensemble member Erica Weiss (February 9-April 8); Shakespeare's Hamlet, directed by Monty Cole (June 1-July 29); and the Midwest premiere of Tony Award-winning playwright and ensemble member David Rabe's Cosmologies, directed by Thornton (October 12-December 9).
The Gift Theatre Announces TEN, Opening 1/5

The Gift will produce a festival of short pieces written specifically for The Gift by artists whose work they have produced over the past ten years--ten World Premieres by Ensemble Members Maggie Andersen, Jenny Connell, Andrew Hinderaker, William Nedved, Natural Gas and guest playwrights Eric Bogosian, Caitlin Montanye Parrish, David Rabe, JT Rogers and Craig Wright. We are ecstatic about kicking off our 10th Anniversary season in such a monumental fashion.
