Cabaret singer Tammy Faye Starlite is bringing her show Nico Underground, exploring the subversive singer Nico perhaps best known for singing with the Velvet Underground. The show runs at Joe's Pub every Wednesday night at 9:30 pm from May 1 to May 22. We spoke with Tammy about the inspiration behind the show and the process of putting it together.

BWW Review: The Bethany Stage's GUYS AND DOLLS Features Stand-Out Performances
The Bethany Stage, a relatively new theatre company in the Oklahoma City metro area, presented their first musical production, GUYS AND DOLLS. Let me assure you, the beloved score is in capable hands: the four leads of the show carry the show nicely. Artistic Director Audra Faust has led this fledgling theatre company to a successful first musical production, and I look forward to more from her group of players.

When the entertainment website BroadwayWorld.com announced its 2015 New York Cabaret Award nominees for "Best Alt Cabaret Show," Raquel Cion-hailed by The New York Times as "half witch and half cabaret performer"-was named a finalist for her stunning performances in Me & Mr. Jones: My Intimate Relationship with David Bowie, a show that generated standing ovations from SRO crowds at The Slipper Room, 167 Orchard Street. After Bowie's death in January, Cion decided to bring back a revised version of Me & Mr. Jones . . . for a three-show run that concludes at the popular Lower East Side burlesque/variety club on May 15 at 8 pm.
