BIO
John Fico has been performing Monica Bauer’s one-man MADE FOR EACH OTHER since 2010, from Tucson to Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a 2014 run at NYC’s Stage Left Studio after premiering in The Planet Connections Theatre Festivity (nominated: Outstanding Actor in A Solo Show). Other NYC stage credits include A. R. Gurney’s SCREEN PLAY (Flea Theater), IRON CURTAIN, THE MUSICAL (Off Broadway, Prospect Theatre), THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING YOU EVER HOID (2010 NYMF – winner Outstanding Ensemble Performance), A STOOP ON ORCHARD STREET (Mazur Theater), and AS I LAY DYING (Live Source Theatre in residence at BRIC Arts). He has worked from The White Mountains, NH to Marathon Key, FL in such shows as A STOOP ON ORCHARD STREET, HELLO DOLLY!, BEYOND THERAPY, GUYS & DOLLS, OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS, and several tours with POKO PUPPETS. This year, the event, designed to address hot-button topics concerning the world at that moment through new works by prominent authors - written just for the event - dealt with the distinctions between gender and sexuality.

What do you get when you mix 14 playwrights, 50 performers doing 30 plays in 18 days? This year's 7th Annual Left Out Festival, a tasty, spiked punch full of plays about Cowboy Bars, OraQuick, Homophobia, Tap-Dancing Lesbians, Cartoons, Plastic Bags, Bullying, Showbiz, Racism, Murder, Lesbian Camp Counselors and (gasp!) Narcissism all stirred with a Big Gay Swizzle Stick. The fun begins on April 14th and continues through May 5th at Stage Left Studio, 214 West 30th St. 6th floor. As always, The Left Out Festival proceeds will benefit Bailey House.
