BWW Review: THE LAST FIVE YEARS at PART THEATRE
This show is sentimental, soul-searching, and tear-jerking, but meant to stir you up inside and make you think about life. In retrospect, one looks back at their past to see how they ended up in the present. The Last Five Years reflects on that and does it well, bringing a really beautiful piece of musical theatre to the forefront.

BWW Review: THE LAST FIVE YEARS Meets at a Crossroads
Last night I found myself at a crossroads. It was the Crossroads Mall in Omaha. Inside this nearly vacant structure is a tiny live theater tucked into the northeast corner. The Performing Artists Repertory Theatre (PART) showcased two of Omaha's favorite performers in Jason Robert Brown's THE LAST FIVE YEARS.
BWW Review: MURDER BALLAD Rocks with Killer Vocals
Four killer voices are rocking the Omaha Community Playhouse. MURDER BALLAD, a new indie-rock sung-through musical by Julia Jordan and music by Juliana Nash, is an old story of a love triangle gone wrong.

Murder Ballad, running at the Omaha Community Playhouse October 14 - November 20, 2016 in the Howard Drew Theatre, is an intimate, sung-through indie-rock musical that tells the dramatic tale of a love triangle gone wrong. At the center of it all is Sara, a young mother and wife who seems to have it all but longs for her dangerous past and begins a love affair with her old boyfriend. As events unfold, the audience is along for the ride with every twist of the story. Murder Ballad is a steamy and fun thriller with a razor's edge. Contains situations of infidelity, adult language and mild violence.
BWW Review: CITY OF ANGELS Opens With a Bang!
Picture this: a quartet hanging around a lamppost in 1940's Hollywood dressed in warm yellow and red tones, singing in close harmony while shadowy gray figures dance in the background. A shot rings out and CITY OF ANGELS opens with a bang at the Omaha Community Playhouse.
BWW Review: MAN OF LA MANCHA Captivates
The Omaha Community Playhouse opens its 2015-2016 season with MAN OF LA MANCHA, the multiple-Tony Award winning musical based on the novel Don Quixote. Written by Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion, the story tells of Miguel de Cervantes and his imprisonment during the Spanish Inquisition. Cervantes enlists his fellow prisoners into the telling of Don Quixote, knight errant, and his escapades as he fights for valor. I caught the preview last night and I have to warn you-it would be a mistake to miss this one.
