Maureen Taylor to Release 'Cosmic Connections: The Lyrics of Michael Colby'

Brainstorm Records announces the April 23rd release of Vocalist Maureen Taylor’s recording: Maureen Taylor: Cosmic Connections – The Lyrics of Michael Colby. The collaboration between Taylor and Colby will feature nineteen Colby songs. The album will be available for streaming and purchase on all the major music outlets (as well as a limited number of CDs for purchase at the release party).

Producer Neal Rubinstein announced today that the Broadway-aimed new musical DANGEROUS will receive upcoming presentations this spring. On Monday, March 19, the cast of DANGEROUS will perform the songs of DANGEROUS in concert at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) at 8pm.

Known for her powerful and riveting vocals, Symphony Siren and Broadway Diva N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical and Sondheim and Sondheim) performs alongside Christina Bianco, Kristen Plumley, and Christina DeCicco in the Broadway Divas concert. With Maestro Jack Everly at the helm, these stunning ladies will be joined by the Utah Symphony. This showdown of the Stars will happen 7:30 PM on October 27 and again 28, 2017 at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City.

Lyricist/librettist, Michael Colby, author of the memoir,  'The Algonquin Kid-Adventures Growing Up at New York's Legendary Hotel," celebrated his 65th Birthday on Sunday, Oct. 30th with a fundraiser/musical event for Child Find of America. 'Quel Fromage II'  featured performers from Broadway and cabaret, including members of TADA! This weave helps tell the story of his life growing up in the glory days at this incredible Hotel. The Algonquin Hotel was owned by Mr. Colby's Grandparents, Ben & Mary Bodne from 1946-1987.

Today, May 2nd there will be a special industry presentation of the new musical DANGEROUS. Directed by Jeff Whiting, the show is described as 'a 1930s swing-time musical reminiscent of Warner Brothers gangster movies, Hitchcock thrillers, and Casablanca style romance.
