Theatre Royal Bath Announces Jonathan Church's Inaugural Summer Season 2017
Artistic Director Jonathan Church's complete programme for Theatre Royal Bath's annual Summer Season is today announced. Church's inaugural season of five plays will open with David Hare's Racing Demons from 21 June, followed by Sand in the Sandwiches by Hugh Whitemore, the UK Premiere of Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest, Looking at Lucian by Alan Franks and Alan Bennett's The Lady in the Van.
Edward Fox To Star In New Betjeman Play SAND IN THE SANDWICHES
Edward Fox is to star in a new play, Sand in the Sandwiches by Hugh Whitemore, which celebrates the life and work of John Betjeman. Directed by Gareth Armstrong, the production will premiere at Oxford Playhouse on 25 October 2016 followed by a UK tour visiting the Minerva Theatre Chichester, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford, Exeter Northcott Theatre, Salisbury Playhouse and culminating with a final performance at the Folkestone Book Festival on 24 November 2016. Shakespeare's Globe Brings HAMLET to Folger Theatre This Weekend
The London-based Shakespeare's Globe will bring their global touring production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet to Folger Theatre for three performances only this weekend, July 25 and 26, 2014, making it the only east coast stop for the company in the United States. Directed by Dominic Dromgoole and Bill Buckhurst, the production is a fresh, pared-down version of the classic tragedy of deferred revenge.
