TV: Celebrate A CHRISTMAS STORY's Anniversary With a Look Back at Opening Night!

Ralphie is coming to the rescue because it's the the seventh anniversary of A Christmas Story The Musical coming to Broadway! To celebrate us counting down to Christmas, we're looking back at the show's opening night at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with the official Broadway debut of the now Oscar, Tony, and Grammy-winning songwriting duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Berkeley Rep Extends TREASURE ISLAND

?Due to an overwhelming positive response from audiences, the swashbuckling adventure, Treasure Island, will continue to set sail on the Hispaniola at Berkeley Rep. The theatre has announced that the latest adventure from Mary Zimmerman will extend for an additional two weeks. Originally scheduled to close on June 5, the critically acclaimed play will run through Sunday, June 19. Starting today, Friday May 6 at noon, tickets for the added 16 performances can be purchased online at berkeleyrep.org or by phone at 510 647.2949.

Berkeley Rep to Present West Coast Premiere of Zimmerman's TREASURE ISLAND

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the West Coast premiere of Treasure Island by Tony Award-winning director Mary Zimmerman. Critically praised as "nothing short of sublime" (Chicago-Sun Times), and "Zimmerman remains a superior storyteller " (Chicago Tribune), Treasure Island, a co-production with Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company, is a glorious adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's most beloved novel. Previews begin Friday, April 22, and the show runs through Sunday, June 5, 2016. Press night for Treasure Island will be held on Friday, April 29. OLIVER! features an all-star cast of 35, led by Heidi Kettenring as 'Nancy' (National Tour of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Broadway in Chicago's Wicked, the World Premiere of Hero at Marriott Theatre, and Sweeney Todd at Drury Lane Theatre); Jeff Award winner John Reeger as 'Fagin' (The Iceman Cometh and A Christmas Carol at the Goodman Theatre, Amadeus at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Hamlet at Court Theatre, and Chicago at Marriott Theatre); J.D. Rodriguez as the 'Artful Dodger' (National Tour of A Christmas Story) and Brady Tutton as 'Oliver Twist' ('Tiny Tim' in A Christmas Carol at Drury Lane Theatre). A Christmas Story, The Musical and STOMP Out Bullying have announced the Grand Prize winner of their Anti-Bullying Writing Competition, Ahmed Shayef. A 7th Grader at M.S. 577 in Brooklyn, Ahmed has won a walk-on role in the Thursday evening, December 27 performance of A Christmas Story, The Musical.
