a?oeMiscasta?? is an opportunity for some of the Colorado theatre community's top performers to sing songs they would never a?? ever! a?? be cast to perform on a legitimate stage. This popular tradition returns for one night only at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 30, as the primary annual benefit for The Denver Actors Fund, which to date has made more than $385,000 in medical relief available to the Colorado theatre community. Our host this year is the Aurora Fox Arts Center, 9900 E. Colfax Ave, Aurora 80014. Filmmaker Haroula Rose, who has directed, produced and had her original music featured in projects like FRUITVALE STATION, AMERICAN HORROR STORY, STILL ALICE and LOST AND FOUND, makes her feature directorial debut with the stirring dramatic tale, ONCE UPON A RIVER, Bentonville's Centerpiece Selection. Rose also wrote the screenplay.

2019 Bentonville Film Festival Announces Gala Selections, Competition Films
The Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) today announced its film line up of gala selections and competition films with Joey Travolta's CAROL OF THE BELLS, and Haroula Rose's ONCE UPON A RIVER making their world premieres as Centerpiece Screening Selections. BFF will kick off with a screening of Tom Donahue's documentary THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING and a special presentation of the festival's signature event, Geena and Friends. Taking place May 7-11 in Bentonville, Arkansas, BFF is a one of a kind annual event that will celebrate 5-years of elevating diverse voices in all facets entertainment and media in partnership with founding sponsor Walmart and presenting sponsor Coca-Cola.

“You're pretty good for a girl,' sighs veteran Rhode Island-based electronic rock artist JENN VIX about one of the many comments that plagues her as a female artist. “I have been asked questions such as 'Who writes your music for you?' and 'Oh, so you're a singer, right?'” Her plight as a woman in rock is nothing new, especially considering that not only is she a successful electronic-rock recording artist but has also been a songwriter, a producer and a recording engineer. With her new EP 6 however, Vix is wearing all hats at once and showing that, yes, she can do it.. and yes, she is a girl.

With help from the immense talents of John Ashton, Sam Gregory, Wayne Kennedy, Michael J. Duran, Greg Moody, Chris Parente, Sue Leiser, Alicia King Meyers, Nick Sugar, Tim Howard, Eden Lane (and more TBA) local actors are using the platform they know best to acknowledge and encourage the work being done to eradicate hate.

The video features Jenn Vix herself, along with actor Michael French.
