Dallas Theatre Artist Katherine Owens Passes Away At Age 61
Theater visionary, artist, founding artistic director of Dallas's Undermain Theatre and Texas Woman of distinction Katherine Owens has died after a five-month prolonged illness. She was 61 and lived in Dallas with her husband and artistic partner Bruce DuBose.

Undermain Theatre Hosts World Premiere of HOW IS IT THAT WE LIVE OR SHAKEY JAKE + ALICE
To open its 35th season, Undermain Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of Company Member Len Jenkin's How is it That We Live or Shakey Jake + Alice. The show traces the arc of the lives of two lovers through the years, from the first kiss to the last goodbye and everything in between. On the road, in an indelible American landscape, Shakey Jake + Alice launch themselves on a poetic quest as they dance to the end of love. Longtime Undermain collaborator Len Jenkin explores the psyches of life-long partners to answer the question, "How is it that we live?"

Matthew Broderick Among Presenters for 2017 IT Awards
On Monday, September 25, 2017, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 13 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, will present four honorary awards along side the 26 awards for outstanding achievement in theatre. Just announced, Tony winner Matthew Broderick will present the Outstanding Musical Award alongside fellow presenters Charles Busch, Angel Desai, Lane Harwell, David Pittu and Jennifer Van Dyck.

The Tony Award-nominated comedy, 'Lettice and Lovage,' opens Westport Country Playhouse's 87th Season, written by Peter Shaffer, author of 'Amadeus,' and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. Undermain Theatre Presents GALILEO
Undermain Theatre presents GALILEO, Bertolt Brecht's masterpiece, which he translated in English in collaboration with Charles Laughton. GALILEO will be produced at Undermain's home in Deep Ellum - 3200 Main St. with company member Bruce DuBose in the title role. DuBose is a recipient of Best Actor awards from the Dallas Critics Forum, D Magazine and the Dallas Observer. Directed by Undermain's Artistic Director, Katherine Owens, opening night will be Today, February 11th with a curtain time of 7:30 pm. Preview performances will be on February 8th, 9th, and 10th at 7:30 pm. All preview performances are only $15. All evening show times are 7:30 pm with two Sunday matinee performances at 2:00 pm on February 19th and March 5th. The production will run through March 5th.
