The Kitchen Theatre Company Presents Nina Raine's Award-Winning Play TRIBES

Next up at the Kitchen Theatre Company is Tribes by Nina Raine, an atypical family drama that examines the power of communication within the dynamics of a British hearing family with a deaf son. Performances of Tribes begin at the Kitchen Theatre Company in the Percy Browning Performance Space on June 2nd and run through June 23rd. Opening night is Thursday, June 6th.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere of I Was Most Alive with You written and directed by Craig Lucas (Prelude to a Kiss at the Huntington and An American in Paris on Broadway) and performed both in English and American Sign Language. The National Theatre of the Deaf has announced six performances of the Little Theatre of the Deaf company's family-oriented production Stories In My Pocket Too during the month of August 2012 at Hygienic Art Park in New London, CT. These performances are funded in part by a grant from The City of New London Water Authority Community Fund and a generous contribution by Hygienic Art.

The National Theatre of the Deaf has announced announce the third annual residency at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, beginning May 7 and running through May 18, 2012, paid for in part by a generous grant from the J. Walton Bissell Foundation. The program will focus on the development of original playwriting, script improvisation and concept to the stage rehearsals for a new touring production. The new conceptual work is entitled The W-5 The Stories Behind Who, What, Where, When and Why.
